The Materials Research Society Singapore (MRS-S) has been organising the biennial International Conference on Materials for Advanced Technologies (ICMAT) series since 2001.  This event, that usually attracts 2000+ delegates, has proven to be an outstanding forum for connecting a rapidly expanding cohort of regional researchers with peers from around the world. ICMAT 2027 will be the 13^th iteration of the event to be held in Singapore, a country and city that embodies the energy and aspirations of South-East Asia, and where the impact of materials science, energy and technology permeates the economic success of the nation. The first 12 editions of ICMAT conference series have attracted more than 25,000 participants representing 50+ countries, including significant number of Nobel Laureates, hundreds of distinguished plenary & keynote speakers, thousands of invited speakers, and thousands of young researchers. Most pleasingly large fraction of the delegates has been graduate scholars and early career researchers who were given the opportunity to learn from leaders in the field and sometimes, been given a first opportunity to present their own work. Physicists, Chemists, Biologists, Engineers, Technologists, and Industry partners from all over the world are brought together for organising the technical symposia, reflecting the true character of interdisciplinary materials science. The upcoming conference comprises of 38 technical symposia focusing on 9 different themes, plenary and theme lectures, special activities, exhibition as well as keynote, invited, oral and poster presentations anticipating the participation of 2,000+ delegates. Being a premier scientific platform to present research to an interdisciplinary and international audience, ICMAT 2027 provides a window on the future of materials science and offers an opportunity for researchers share expertise, exchange technical information and network with colleagues.
